As I told you before when you gave me the draft to read, I really enjoyed this peek into the past. Don't know if I mentioned this before, but you can truly get a feeling of this village being alive and flourishing in the past. It makes an interesting contrast to the ruins the expedition finds.

And poor Ianto, having to pretend that he's like Gwen, stupidly fiddling with stuff! XD

Thanks. I really loved working with the original Ancient city. Perhaps there will be more trips into its past in later story arcs... unless, of course, Dr. Shaw confiscates the Ghost Machine.

Yeah, Ianto was justifiably worried about his reputation. *g*

Sent you some snippets of later stuff, just so. Some of it won't come for a long time yet, but I thought you might be interested.

Yeah, I'm definitely interested, thanks for the snippets!

And if Dr Shaw confiscates the Ghost Machine, they might still end up in situations where she decides the benefits outweight the risks XD

Let's hope so. Or else Jack will be in big trouble.

Oh, big trouble for Jack? Because he'd steal it back or because you have Bad Things planned for my poor darling Jack? *laughs*

Nothing worse than a thorough dressing-down from Liz Shaw - which he deserves, IMO. He *has* acted behind her back, right?

Oh, does he ever deserve that! Naughty, naughty Jack. He should've known it'd just lead to more trouble. Of course, that's never held him back from doing anything when he believed to be in the right

And when does he *not* believe being in the right? *g*

Haha, true! He has a very "healthy" sense of self-confidence. Comes from having seen everything happen a hundred times already XD

Although, as we know, overconfidence leads to fall, so he should be better a bit more careful with his assumptions...

Indeed! Especially now that there are so many people under his direct protection now, thus many more he's putting at risk if his gambles fail. He still needs to get into the mindset that he's no longer the leader of a small freelance team but has responsibility towards a whole village full of people.

I'm afraid it's gonna be a sloooow learning process. Fortunately, he's got Ianto...
