"The monkey chased the weasel"

Oooh, big news! I got a job! I work at Kitchen Collection at the Outlet Mall, selling, well, kitchen stuff. It makes me want to get on America's Test Kitchen's web site an learn a lot about, well, kitchen stuff, so I can tell people with certainty what will be the best thing for their needs. "Yes sir, this silicone bunt cake mold with it's slower bake time and ultra non-stick nature is perfect for you." I'm also planning on bringing in a stack of mall maps because we get asked about 5x a day "Do you know if _____ store is still here?" or "Do you know where _____ store is?"

And my boss and coworkers seem fairly cool, and are very OK with the mohawk. Their even fine with the bleached sides :) Loretta, the boss, said as long as it doesn't get in the way of my working (e.g. long spikes that know stuff off the shelves), she doesn't care. Doing the job is what matters to her.

Speaking of which... I bleached the sides of my hawk! I was sick of it not showing up as the sides grew out and I don't have regular access to clippers. But I did have a bleaching kit! I did it myself July 5th and by some miracle didn't get any on my braids. When my mom first saw it she did a long double take, then said "My GOD." She's used to it now. See some pictures .

Still have to wait 'till I trim lot of it before I can try spiking it.
.... I'd miss my braids, though. *feels slightly sad*
But it will be a while before I get that much trimmed off. *feels happy again* And I can always rebraid it *feels even happier*

It's kinda crunchy feeling now. I'd wanted to go silver, but I can't buy that much bleaching stuff yet. Latter. I'm still planning on dyeing the ends an emerald green, latter, when I've got some spare money. I think I'll find a place that will dye just the ends without charging and arm and a leg because I don't want to buy a whole bottle of green when I'm only going to use a tiny bit of it.
