[Voice Post]
((Click. Alice sounds quite purposeful in this Network entry. After everyone gave her a bit of a hard time about her talking to her Network device, perhaps she won't address it by name anymore...))
Well...I don't quite know what to think of everything that went on yesterday, people giving one another ratings, telling them what sort of temperature they were, saying they'd like to--like to hit them!
And someone tried to explain to me that it was all about affection, that saying these things meant that one peson liked another. Really, I have heard quite a bit of nonsense before, but, honestly! Hitting someone to tell them that you're fond of them is quite too much, I think!
And telling someone what temperature, whether they were cold or hot, is just as silly. One can certainly say that the weather is very hot or very cold, and one can say that someone seems too hot or too cold, but telling them that they are or they must be hot or cold is perfectly ridiculous.
And I shan't even begin to talk about how ridiculous it is to tell someone that he or she is a number. How perfectly foolish. I'm Alice, and I'm a little girl. I certainly can't be a number. And I'm quite glad no one told me I was one. But other people seemed to telling people that they were numbers.
I'm quite glad that's all over. I know it was a curse, but it was one of the most peculiar and...and...stupid curses I've ever seen. I don't see at all what that has to do with liking another person at all, and I certainly wouldn't want someone to tell me that they were fond of me that way. I've had quite enough of this sort of nonsense, really. I've put up with it for far too long. I should like to put a stop to it...
Only...well, I've no idea how to go about that, exactly. And I'm not sure that I could quite stop it on my own.
Oh, but it is all nonsense! And I have had quite enough. And that's that.
((And with a final, determined sort of sound, the recording ends with a--click.))

[ooc: No, not affected yesterday (that was just a little too much, sorry), but wondering about it all...]
