Ok, so I was working a 6-12 last night...right?

Theresa is my asst. manager so you'll all know who I'm talking about when I say her name.

Well, I come in at 6:00, and 30 minutes later she tells me she's going to take her break in the back and eat a hot pocket. She didn't clock out. So, she's done with that (don't really know how long of a break she took) and runs a couple of returns and then tells me she's taking another break to go outside and eat with her boyfriend, she clocked out for that one. Well, I've been on the damn register this whole entire time, WITH a line.

She comes back in from her break, clocks back in, and runs a stack of returns (I'm still on register). She comes back up, and Ms. Cedrone had pulled up outside (she can't walk really so we normally bring her movies to her car, she has serious medical issuses.) and so I said to Theresa, "Hey, can you get this guy while I go out and get Ms. Cedrone's movies?" (she doesn't know about Ms. Cedrone really yet because she had only been working at our store for like a week) And so she got on register and I walked outside and got Ms. Cedrone's movies. I walked back inside to check the ones she wanted to take with her out and Theresa turns around, and infront of like 5-10 customers says, "Kime, you do NOT leave the register to get people outside before the inside ones. And do not leave in the middle of a customer" and my response to her was, "I hadn't started ringing him up yet, and I don't see why you couldn't take over for two minutes since you were just standing here." and then she says, "Don't talk to me like that and embarrass me infront of these customers and DO NOT undermine my authority. Now get on register and ring people up." So I got on register, like tearing up and stuff because she had NO reason, or right to speak to me like that.

I checked out one guy and then said, "Theresa, I'm taking my break." and she said, "NOT until the line dies down." (The line was like two people by now) so I rang one more person up and then just left. I got in my car and called Willie (the manager) and told him all that had happened and told him I didn't want to go back to the store until he had talked to her. So he called the store and talked to her and then called me back near the end of my break and said, "Kime, can you finish out the night? Because you can just go home if you need to." and I said, "Well, as long as she won't talk to me about any of this I can finish out the night." and he said, "Oh, she won't."

So, I go back in the store and clock back in and start organizing returns. I walked away for two seconds to ring someone up, and I wanted to run all the returns right then because I was still upset and didn't want to be upfront dealing with customers until I had calmed myself down. But Theresa had taken over by the time I got done ringing the guy up. I said to her, "I was in the middle of organizing those, and I'll run the returns." and she goes, "You run all the category returns and I'll run the new-releases." and I was like, "Well, I'd rather just run them all." and she walks away and I continue organizing.

She comes back over and starts to talk about what had happened earlier and I said (kind of in a firm voice), "Look, I don't want to talk to you." (but I was going to say about what had happened earlier on the end but she cut me off). She flew off the handle and started saying stuff like, "I'M WORKING WITH YOU I HAVE TO TALK TO YOU, YOU'RE ACTING CHILDISH, I'M YOUR MANAGER ON DUTY DO NOT UNDERMINE MY AUTHORITY" FULL on yelling at me in the middle of the store. WITH customers around. So, I looked at her and said, "I'm acting childish? I'm not the one yelling at the top of my lungs. I'm going outside." and then she was like, "YOU STEP OUT THAT DOOR AND I'M WRITING YOU UP!" and I said, "I just want to go call Willie." and she was like, "YOU STEP OUT THAT DOOR AND I'M WRITING YOU UP!" and I said, "Fine, I'll call Willie right here."

So, I called him up and said, "Willie, can I leave please, I can't take this anymore she's sitting here screaming at me at the top of her lungs and threatening to write me up if I walk out of the store even though you already gave me permission to do so." (I was choking up and there were some tears by now). So Willie says, "Yes, you can leave but hold on, I'm calling the store to talk to Theresa." So I hang up the phone and she rants and raves about some other shit but I just said, "Willie's going to call and talk to you." and she just gives me this bullshit look and then the phone rings. I pointed to it and said, "There he is." so she answers the phone and starts yelling to Willie about how I call him everytime she tells me to do something and that I need to understand the fact that she's my assistant manager. Well in the end, Theresa handed the phone to me and Willie goes, "Kime, you can leave." and I said, "Will I get written up?" and he said no. So I clocked out and walked out the door.

I called Willie on my way home to tell him that I was scheduled to work with her today (Wednesday) and I really didn't want to work another shift with her. So he found someone to work my shift today and I said to him, "I understand she's my assistant manager, but not even you treat me the way she did, and you're my manager." He said he knew, and I told him I was sorry for causing him all this trouble and he said no problem.

I don't know, I can't stand that girl now, she had no reason to be as rude to me as she was and to talk to me like she did. I did NOTHING wrong.
