(no subject)
it would seem i haven't posted since February... hm... typical of me, i suppose.
It's finally, FINALLY raining here. i know to you Texas folk that sounds unimpressive, but we've only had 10 minutes of barely a drizzle in over a MONTH here. It's been so dry and sad... everything is crispy, no one has any money. Depressing and sad. But the rain helps. And i do love to have my windows open to hear rain. Rainy day with a book is one of my most favorite scenarios.
I started classes last night... thus far military history and US History I, both with my favorite professor here. He's such a good lecturer, and very organized, it's hard to not enjoy his classes. Despite the ridiculous amount of prep work his exams take. Thank you, Rice, for making me feel so stupid and at the same time forcing me to do more work than any human being can possibly hope to do in a year, let alone a week. As a result, i can now take classes with heavy workloads that i don't need and still manage to work nearly 40 hours per week. And i've still got my first anatomy class on friday... Easton, i'll move to Houston, and we can be lab partners? :)
Today is going to be an experiment in tofu. i've never cooked tofu before. i feel like i haven't given it a fair chance to be tolerable, and it's awfully cheap and blends really nice into asian food... i feel like i owe it a chance. Peanut satay, here i come...
i know i don't post much, but i do read my friends page almost every day. i miss you all... hopefully i'll get to Houston again sometime before i turn 30, but nursing school gets to make that decision for me.
