Part 1The official St Patrick's Day parades has been held in Moscow since 1992. Even though this year's event was cancelled by Moscow city government, several thousands of people gathered on the Old Arbat to celebrate the holiday on March 20. You could see a lot of young people with painted faces and in bright clothes. Everyone could have much fun and enjoy the great holiday atmospehere. There were so many parade participants that at the beginning of the movement they had to go foward slowly side by side. But later some of them began to play different musical instruments, and groups of people stopped to listen around them while others continued to move forward and dance in a free space or wave many colored ribbons and give everybody candies.
