Brattsevo estate

Brattsevo estate is a beautiful place to take a walk. It was first mentioned during the times of Ivan the Terrible. The territory was in turn owned by Zubovs, Khitrovo, Naryshkins, Stroganovs, Rimsky-Korsakovs . Particularly, a mother-in-law of one of the owners Mr. Kologrivov was very famous for her flight on a balloon. In the 18th century such an action was considered a true heroism. In 1780 alderman Stroganov built a huge estate Brattsevo, which survived to this day. Stroganovs' wealth was so tremendous that there is still a saying in Russia “You can’t be richer than Stroganovs!”
