Zhivopisny Bridge (Picturesque bridge) is the first cable-stayed bridge in Moscow and the highest one in Europe. It spans Moskva River in north-western Moscow. The construction of the bridge is a very nice and unique. Under the top of the arch, at height of 100 meters, there is an ellipsoid-like glass structure that was initially intended to house a restaurant and an observation deck. Due to lack of investment and some other reasons, the project was abandoned. Now it is planned to make a registry office there.
Views from the top of the bridge are breathtaking! You can see Marshal Zhukov Prospect, Karamyshevskaya Embankment and the center of the city. In summer 2010, I even watched sunrise there. It is hard to describe the feelings when you are standing at such height and cars are flying far under you. Big trucks made the bridge slightly wobble.
