The former profit house of M. V. Sokol in Kuznetsky Most Street is one of the most interesting buildings of the modern style in Moscow. It was built in 1904 by the architect I. Mashkov for a moscow landlady M. V. Sokol. The main element of the design is the majolica panels with the seascape and a soaring falcon above the mountains, created by the artist N. N. Sapunov.
