Cafe "Sea Inside"
Not far from the Kremlin Wall and noisy Manejnaya and Borovitskaya Streets, in a quiet side street and old Moscow mansion, on the very roof, there is a very nice cafe "Sea Inside". It was opened by a group of enthusiasts. They gathered lots of like-minded people among their friends on the Internet and began to design a future interior of the cafe - a comfortable place for everybody. They decided to paint the veranda in a white colour, sew hammocks and pillows, decorate the space with different inscriptions, photos, bunches of flowers, make a unique sea menu. The inside interior of the cafe is full of creative atmosphere. It has a brightly expressed design with a general theme of distant seas and boundless oceans. Artists, photographers, actors, architects get together there. It is an amazing place. The cafe is not much promoted, so you will not feel uncomfortable because of big crowds of visitors. It's quiet and cosy there. You can spend hours gabbling away with your friends, sipping a cocktail, or reading a book and lying in a hammock. The hammocks are not only an element of the design, but also real places to rake rest, as well as many pillows and sofas. You can even fall asleep in the hammock, and nobody will disturb you.
On the second floor of the cafe, under the roof, your childhood dreams about a hiding place come true.
Comfortable mattresses, plenty of pillows, warm plaids create a feeling of home warmth and comfort.
There are two big burners in the hall with a real flame. They keep warmth in the cafe even in a rainy weather. Besides, you can take headphones hanging at every table and listen to the music of the ocean: waves lapping, oar-squeaks at a wooden boot, rare cries of seagulls, sounds of wind.
You can spend hours there! :-)
Names of the dishes in the menu are very funny: "Ommm-elettes", "Foam of days", "Rich Fish Catch", "Sands and fogs", "Silent Heaving" - the sea is everywhere. The prices are quiet democratic. If you decide, for example, to have a cream soup "Rich Fish Catch" with salmon, green pea, corn grains and leek (290 rubles), taste the dish "Best Friend" with new potatoes baked with greens and a garlic sour cream sauce (190 rubles) and drink a huge cup of black, green or fruit tea (200-250 rubles), you will leave the cafe very full and satisfied.
Your bill will not be higher than one thousand rubles.
Also, you will have an opportunity to order tasty cultured milk Indian cocktails, cafe cooked in a Vietnamese way, or a traditional Sicilian icy drink with a snow consistence and different tastes (water-melon, melon, pineapple, grapefruit, cranberries, cowberries, pomegranate).
There is a rich entertaining program in the cafe almost every day: dancing, photo exhibits, piano improvisations and watching movies. Attendance of the majority of the events is free of charge. Besides, there is a free Wi-Fi access to the Internet there.
