Timing Rant
I finally find a contractor get things set up for him to start on Wednesday and who calls but my temp agency with an interview. Yep you got it Wednesday morning. Arrrrrrrrg
I don't want to work with this agency as they don't provide medical insurance for which I'm paying around $1,000 a mo for out of pocket (and the insurance carrier doesn't even have offices any where close in the state in which I live).
Regardless of whether I want to work with them I have to take temp jobs from them if they offer at the right pay rate/location or lose my unemployment benefits and I can't in good conscious deliberately mess up the interview. The ironic thing about it all is I actually want to work for the company they are sending me out to temp interview with, but if they did want to hire me temp the company would then need to pay a conversion fee for up to a year after I left the assignment (which most companies won't pay).
All I can hope is either
A) they will hire me at the end of the assignment instead of just asking to extend me. (An extension which I couldn't refuse even if I wanted to without losing unemployment).
Or
B) That they decide they don't want me for this position
Either way I won't be able to meet with the contractor on Wednesday morning to finalize the papers so he can get started.
Sometimes God's timing drives me crazy!
