Sympathy for...
I was looking forward to post an update to my, as of late, entertaining/frantic/satisfying/challenging life but I just got news that a friend of mine has just died.
She had the genetic disorder cystic fibrosis and had undergone a lung transplant (from her sister) to help treat many of her symptoms. 2 weeks ago it started to reject. Yesterday (2/1/06), in the afternoon her family made the decision to disconnect her respirator. She died 40 minutes later at the age of 21.
I'm keeping a list of people I have known, people who have been my friends and family who have died. I don't know why. Part of me doesn't want to forget them, and part of me wants to remind myself of the lost opportunities...
