I'm on shaky ground saying that the final stage of pre-marathon preparation started last night with Pasta Bash 2007 (thanks to
massena,
happiestlemur,
sandomi, Natalie, Seth, Zoe, and Jane for variously showing up and helping with the food). The final stage might have been tonight's two-miler. Or the week before last where tending to
tolchocky during a nasty cold had me tapering down to nothing for a few days. Or the last long run down and around Chelsea, over the Tobin Bridge to Boston, and then back home on Mass. Ave. It's arbitrary but last night feels about right.
It's been little stuff since then. Buying Gu packs and obscenely short shorts. Taking the Plymouth-Brockton down to the Cape to stay with Grammy and Grampy for the night before. Forgetting my watch and then discovering that using myPod for timing would violate USATF rules. Eating even more pasta.
Anyways, it's 8:13p right now which means I need to get to sleep. I brought Modern Quantum Chemistry (Ostlund and Szabo) which should do the job.
Tomorrow, race summary and results. Plus, a list of grad schools that I'm applying to.
