Wow, I can't even post daily for thirty days.
's shoulder is feeling significantly better-she does her PT exercises religiously, and it really shows. She has also been easing herself off the pain pills in preparation for going back to work tomorrow.
's old car has been donated (it was towed away on Saturday). With the third car gone, the plan now is for to use my car when he turns 16. So, and I spent some time over the weekend window-shopping for new cars. She seems to want me to get another SUV; I think I would be happy with a midsize sedan. Recommendations would be appreciated.

As I said in the
Day 04 - Your Music entry, I have two brothers.
was a very stressed-out child, then a very melancholic teenager (he reminded everyone of Eeyore). His big adolescent escape was music (as I wrote about before). He got his B.S. and M.S. from the University of a few years ahead of me, joined IBM in upstate New York (where he started his Ph.D.), got transferred to Austin (where he later earned his Ph.D.), then moved to New York City. If I understand his job correctly, he writes financial modeling software for Wall Street firms, and is musical director for a youth theatre company in his spare time.
He married late (at 38, I think), and they have one son who is thoroughly entrenched in the "cars and trucks" stage of childhood development. :-)
was 's and my bodyguard when young, then a somewhat rebellious teenager. His big adolescent escape was D&D and other roleplaying games. He left town for college, choosing to attend the University of , where he drank a bit too heavily until he and his best friend both "found religion". He dried himself out, finished his B.A., and married his equally religious college sweetheart. They were both teachers and first tried to establish themselves in the Louisiana bayou, but quickly moved back to . later earned his M.A, and is now Vice Principal at the county high school, serves as their track and cross-country coach, and runs avidly (with the occasional triathlon) and volunteers as a youth minister at his church in his spare time.
He married fresh out of college (coming up on twenty years now), and they have four kids, ranging in age from 16 to 7.
And ...oh, wait, that's me. Never mind.
I'm not particularly close to either of my brothers. Well, let me clarify...I'm not at all close to : he wasn't a nice roommate growing up, then he left town for school, and I was gone by the time he came back. We only talk on the phone once or twice a year. In comparison, I have a lot more in common with , and we'll talk on the phone every two or three months. Still, by most familial standards, that's not "close".
