1. I envy your ability to succeed at everything. Yes, you're a procrastinator (who isn't, really), but you still got into Madrigals and you do well in what are supposed to be obscenely difficult classes like Comp/Lit and AP Bio. You write really well (when you get around to writing instead of just planning). And you're going to Berkeley. 2. I challenge you to write three chapters of one of your stories in the next month and post them (and I'll be happy to beta, if you'd like). 3. Brownish, with a little bit of green swirled in. Close to the color of your hair (the brown part, I mean - your hair doesn't have any green in it). I'm not sure why, but that's the color that comes to mind when I think of you. 4. I like your enthusiastic creativity and your huge vocabulary, and the way you put the two together (fantasy grounded in reality works really well). An incident in sophomore year when you introduced us all to you pet leopard (or was it a jaguar?) and then defended yourself by saying that you were in fact acting your age because however you're acting is, by definition, acting your age comes to mind. And how you can invent entire universes and entire genealogies for them. 5. Into the Woods, of course! Actually my first clear memory of you in that show is Jocelyn walking in (I was friends with her, and I already knew you) and she was like, "You're here?" I don't think she was very happy that your were in the advanced workshop and she wasn't-at some point the grade-skipping thing came up. And then one of you was talking about how the other had stolen all her friends...and I remember you singing "I Know Things Now" 6. A jaguar. Because they are oddly majestic, or at least to me. 7. Hmmm...I'm having trouble thinking of a good question. So I'll email you one.
1. "You're going to Berkeley." That is, if I pass libary assistant! 2. You're on! 3. That's because I was a wood-elf in a previous life. 4. It was a leopard. 5. Oh so that was Jocelyn who said that. And for the record, it was Jocelyn who did the friend stealing, not me. 6. Yay! I am something graceful yet intimidating! Something I will never be in real life! T_T
Ooh, Laura, better start going to class or you will be an utter failure for the rest of your life. ;)
That's because I was a wood-elf in a previous life. I thought you might have been. You're definitely the type, what with all the time you spend outdoors camping and such.
I thought it was Jocelyn who had done the friend-stealing, because you don't seem like the type (not that Jocelyn does, necessarily, but she's definitely more...outgoing). But I do seem to remember her saying that, so I wasn't sure.
You are very graceful, and even intimidating in your own way.
