Game of Thrones - A Doctor Who (Re)Cast (1/2)

Once again, another challenge for throneland. This time it was to (re)cast the characters of Game of Thrones. I put a little spin on mine and decided to do all my recasting with only actors that have been in DW/TW/SJA. The max we had to cast for points was ten. I ended up with 46 because WHY NOT. Of those, 23 are posted here; the rest will be in a second

Thank you! I always feel like my stuff is really plain compared to some of the really awesome picspam makers out there so yeah, thanks. Like I said, I'll probably have the second half up sometime tomorrow (still have 17 more to go) and I'll post the links to both parts in thronesocial.

And Lauren Ambrose is on the newest series of Torchwood. She is by far my favorite character of the season and was pretty much the base for this whole picspam since she simply reeks of Melisandre in both appearance and the role she's currently playing. Or at least a super bubbly version of Melisandre. I mean, well... here's a pic/gif spam from tumblr for details.

ooooooh so you were using Torchwood too? i see now. MISS KITZINGER WINS AT LIFE. She is the best character this season. Hands down.

Well, I started with Lauren Ambrose and then added a couple other Doctor Who actors and by then I was just like, "MAKE IT ALL DOCTOR WHO!"

There was a brief period where I considered opening it up to Harry Potter as well since I wanted to cast the guy who played Argus Filch as Walder Frey since that was pretty much my head canon since I first read the books and then I looked the actor up on wikipedia and it turned out that HE HAD ACTUALLY PLAYED WALDER FREY IN THE SERIES AND I HAD SOMEHOW MISSED THAT. Perhaps he blended into the part so well I didn't even notice the actor? IDK.

Anyways, I pulled from Doctor Who, Torchwood, and Sarah Jane Adventures. You'd be surprised at how much Doctor Who jumps from kids to adults and skips the teenagers in between. Almost everyone is from the main show anyway, but Jaime and Melisandre are strictly from Torchwood. And then Oberyn, Dany, Irri, and Margaery are from SJA because Ace Bhatti is hot and Doctor Who is allergic to teenage girls sans the random girl with one line from School Reunion that I used for Sansa... who is like 20 years old now anyway since that episode aired in 2006.

And yeah, with what just happened at the end of the most recent episode Jilly is pretty much the sole reason I'm still enjoying Miracle Day. <3
