You know... I was having so much fun going through the extended future of the Gargoyles universe...
... until I learned that space aliens attack the Earth two hundred years after the main TV show's canon ending. Still... Puck and Alexander Xanatos seem to have remained BFF's so... yeah.
WTF.
Makes me wonder about the credibility of my own second generation stuff which I have been extensively working on recently. I know I should be working on the story I'm currently writing, but even though that canon's fun, it's never been as fun as my big one.
I've also realized that I use death to solve most of my in-canon problems. Got a second-born child who I know eventually somehow becomes the Empress one day? Simple! Obviously she arranged to have her brother assassinated. A kid that I know exists, but doesn't seem to have a place in the story as an adult no matter how much I try? He must have fallen off a cliff and died when he was sixteen. Well... sixteen in actual years. Only a little past five in human appearance... he's only a quarter-human.
I know it's fine to kill your darlings, but sometimes I feel like a depraved siblicidal maniac.
