I didn't get to go on any outings last week, sadly, and I probably won't get to go on any this week either. That's okay, though, because I'm going to Atlanta to see the Planets by Holst. Freaking awesome, much. I'm looking forward to it.

I'm afraid of dragging down the saxophone section. I used to practice a lot more than I do now, and it shows that I've become lax. I'm going to try to practice in the morning more often, because I seriously need it.

A kid came up to my practice room this morning. He was putting up his viola and he had heard me playing. He said, "Wow, you're really good." Well, isn't that nice. But I'm not. I mean...I'm good compared to beginners, but compared to the former sax players in symphonic winds I'm nothing. Any of you ever hear Matt Boyle perform? HE is a good saxophone player. I need to get closer to that.

Report card!
Lowest grade was an 87, highest was a 100. The 87 was because I bombed a really easy test and my grade dropped ten points. Had I made a 100 (like most other people), I probably would have had a 99 or a 100. (Yes, I know 97 is ten points above 87. 99 or 100 is closer to what I would have gotten based on the teachers weird yet awesome grading system.)

I made a 94 on my Lit essay. Amazing, yes? That was only my 1st draft, too, so I can get up to a 97 on my final one. Yeeessss.

Oh, yea. I want to get a haircut. It'll hopefully happen in the next few weeks, by which time I'll probably need it! :D
