I went to Due's (my old landlord) house today. I became very sad.
This was the place my family used to run through constantly as children. Huge trees all around, blocking the sky. Streams, paths, plants, animals. But now they're gone.
You see, they sold their trees.
It's gone. So much of it is gone.
I found a little toad hopping through the churned mud. From what I remember back when they built the school nearby, those little guys thrive during construction for some reason.
Here's hoping someone will get some use out of it.
I got really bored Wednesday night and wrote a poem. I don't know where I intended to take it, but, geez, it didn't get there. I'll post it later if anyone feels like reading something that goes from normal insight to unexpected....stuff.
