Anybody should be able to get an abortion. I dont care if they aren't raped. i don't care if they are just irrisponsible. After all, it's better to be irrisponsible while you are caring for only yourself instead of yourself and a child. I completely disagree with anybody who says anything like "If i a person is stupid enough to get pregnant, then they should deal with having a kid". A child should not be punishment to its parent becuase what will it then become as it grows older? A child needs love to flourish and become a healthy adult. Look at the percentage of crime committed by neglected children; the number of children with severe mental/physical problems due to neglect.
Apparently someone who gets pregnant needs to "learn a lesson" but a human being is not a lesson to be learned. A child should not be brought into the world if it is not wanted by the parent; no matter what the conditions. If having a child is just going to interfere with everything you do and you won't have time for it and you don't want it why should it have to be punished for the sake of punishing you?
The topic came up the other day and it's been bothering me ever since.
