*Un-Finnished*

The house was silent, well as silent as a wizard’s house could ever get.  Bottles, pots and jars softly clanged together as the castle moved, soft wind blew through small cracks in windows. Pale moonlight mixed with dull embers, lighting the main room dimly. A perfectly peaceful night, or what should have been.  Pulled into a resting position the house stopped suddenly, Calcifer’s flames growing dimmer in the darkness  of the night.  Dimmer, continuously fading, until they were out.

“So tonight is one of those nights?” A blond man stood leaning against the stair case,  carefully avoiding the piles off mess to his left and right. His tone was casual enough, but there was still and underling level of uncomfort.

“Here I was thinking you’d  be happy to see me Howl.” Crossed legs in the soot and ash of the fireplace, tall and very human looking,  Calcifer sat.

“I see you on a very daily basis, is that not enough?”

“You know what I meant.” The red head spat back with little venom.

At this Howl stopped  in his argument, looking somewhat defeated. He knew what was to happen next, it was an event that had begun to happen more and more frequently over the past few years. Calcifer never  put on a human appearance for anything but this.  Muttering a few un-intelligible words under his breath, Howl moved away from the staircase. Wading through the sometimes waist high mess,  he manoeuvred himself to be a arm’s length away from the other male.

“Isn’t life so much easier when you learn how to cooperate?” Howl scoffed at this, but the other grinned. “Buck up,  being a team player won’t kill you, or will it?”
