It may have something to do with the fact that I am a college student constantly procrastinating from homework with only three real-life friends in my current location who therefore has time to constantly be online, but I sort of feel like no one reads my posts anymore (unless they're wildly emotional...:X) Is anybody out there? Are you all just busy as fuck? What's up, people? I know this lj is not the most important thing in your lives by far, but I feel sort of ignored. *self-involved angst* /o\
Other than that, things in my life that I'm doing:
• Being wildly unprepared for nano
• Virulently hating the roommate again after almost getting along for a while. (Dear roommate, stop being such a hopelessly stuck-up bitch and pretend you live in the real world for a second. Thanksbye.)
• Avoiding Guillermo's texts to try to give him the hint that I don't want to go out with him again.
• Living on the edge: I submitted my story (that no one but Austin and my mom have apparently read... really, concrit would be awesome, peeps!) to Dossier, the literary magazine that I'm also on the staff for. We just got the whole packet with the submissions in it to read and rate on Tuesday, and mine is one of only two prose pieces that were submitted, so my fingers are crossed that maybe even just on that technicality they'll put it in. haha... >.>; *uncomfortable laughter*
• Making bulleted lists
and finally
• GOING TO YOUMACON FUCK YEAH. Even though I'm packing right now it still hasn't properly sunk in yet. I feel like this weekend is going to be a much-needed break involving lots of drama-free girl time and Bawls-fueled anime-related craziness. (One can only hope this prediction will come true.) We're doing Soul Eater costumes all weekend, which should be fun. I'm considering making Heather and Sam do the Hall Costume contest. :D I'm starting to hate being at school, partly because of the same-old, same-old: it's really hard to sync up schedules with Hester and Emily, and Katie is a little more distant this year, and Nicola and I are always the only ones here. :/ Dislike. I sort of really can't wait to go to Japan.
WHICH LEADS ME TO MY OTHER FINALLY THING:
I registered for my Temple classes today! (Or at least submitted my formal course requests...whatever that means...) I'm taking four classes (unfortunately not Korean, as they only offer beginner Korean II in the Spring...). I had to submit alternates for each of the four I picked, but I chose ones that were at the same times as their more favored counterparts, so no matter what my in-Japan schedule will be MWF, 10-12:30, 2:10-4:20. Yes, you read right. No TR classes at all. :D And I'm going to room with Jenny, the other girl in my Japanese class who is also going to Temple. :D (It's weird calling her by her first name still, though, since we always call each other by last names in class.)
...this got way longer than intended. I really should finish my homework. Farewell, dearest lj. :D (I probs won't be around this weekend since internet can haz cost in the hotel. Try to soldier on without me, fellow eljayers. ;D)
