Hella tired, middle of midterms week is cruel.
(I've been saying 'hella' a lot lately, both as a superlative descriptor and a nonsense emphasis word (e.g. "hella ramblings"); I wonder if this makes me sound like a douche, although I think the very act of dissecting the term in grammatical lingo may display more intelligence than your general 'hella' say-er. Saa~)
Rest of Journey to the West posts (including Miyajima, Kyoto, Nara, and Osaka) will be coming eventually. I am tired and had a very busy weekend again, which I may also tell about later.
I want to watch more Torchwood but I'm stuck at the beginning of the second season; the unrelenting angstiness of it is starting to affect me, I fear; I've been sampling from the various shounen anime titles I have been holding onto on my hard drive to relieve the angst with some good old-fashioned ass-kicking.
I missed the happy/sad story-arc-ending Bleach episode tonight because I was at school studying with a classmate for a midterm. Grah, classes, why must you get in the way of my nerd-satisfaction?! I now feel the need to seek it out on the interwebs somewhere just so I can see bondage!Aizen and whatnot.
I feel like writing something (for god-knows-what fandom; I have too much shippy business going on in my head of late...
I read the first two chapters of Soul Eater Not at Mangastream tonight; I'm not up-to-date on the actual SE manga so is this like a spin-off or a sequel or what? I didn't think SE was over. Whatever it is there is something vaguely yuri-tastic about the main character apart from her being cute and awesome. Is that just me being a pedobear? (If not high-five for diverse main characters!)
I'm reading the Tale of Genji right now for kicks; the story so far is something like this: Genji was born and was awesome. He was so hot that he boned every chick in Japan. (And that's the first five chapters... >.>)
I bought some of the over-the-knee socks that are all the rage here. I quite like them. (If only it was warm enough to actually wear them. >.>)
Oh, and exciting thing! Today I met for the first time with my language practice partner. I signed up for the program with some misgivings, because even though I know I need to practice with native speakers to learn, I was sort of terrified because they were pairing us with peers and in my experience so far Japanese adults have been a lot more friendly and approachable than Japanese my age. But the guy I got paired with, Hiromi-san, is really nice and is working to learn English but isn't very good, so we're a good pair haha ^^; We're meeting again on Thursday, so I'm trying to think of things to talk about when we meet up. :D (Suggestions welcome! :D)
Also! I bought tickets to see シド/SID (pronounced like the Toy Story character) an awesome Japanese band, in concert in April! :D (I went out and rented a bunch of their CDs too so I can know more of their songs than what I've got from FMA, Kuroshitsuji, and Bleach ^^;)
And I finally succeeded in dragging
piratesmile331 into a new fandom! :D I got her watching dat Doctor Who, I did! :D /momentous occasion yatta
And now it's very late and I reeeeeally should study for my Japanese test tomorrow. >.> /rambles
