im going to touch on a sensitive topic for some,
i believe everything the Bible says and that it was written by man from God. i also believe there have been misinterpritaions and omitians and lost chapters. but all in all, i think God gets his message across, "worship me in life or suffer in death." and as i stated in the begining, i believe the whole thing, but that doesnt mean i have to agree with it. you can look at this as my argument to God himself that his methods and rules blow. he gives us somewhere between 60 and 80 years on average to make the decision to live for him and accept Jesus as our savior or go to Hell for all eternity. thats the blink of an eye to choose your outcome for all of eternity. it doesnt matter how great a person you are, if you dont beleive in Jesus your going to Hell. thats unfair, because i know many non-christians who have higher morals and better ethics than most christians i know. and if God is so great, why do good people suffer so much? if the Jews are his "chosen people" why did he allow the Holocaust? i think God created us and set up these rules and just watches us to see if you follow them blindly. he does nothing to help us, its our own will that gets us through anything, even if its beliefs in a higher being that our will takes the form of. ok, so lets say you've made it to heaven, good for you. now what? the only thing the Bible really says about heaven is that you praise God there. so im going to spend my 60 to 80 years of life worshiping and praising God... only to do it for the rest of eternity? so, is life like the try-outs to kiss ass, and those who go to Hell are the flunkies? sorry, but that just doesnt interest me.
let me know what you think, and i may re-post with revisions or additions some time later... i jsut got the urge to rant this, so i did, and im posting it everywhere i can.
