i don't mind the weather
I've got scarves and caps and sweaters
I've got long johns under slacks for blustery days.

i think that it's brainless to assume that making changes to your window's view will give a new perspective.

and the hardest part is yet to come

i don't mind restrictions or if you're blacking out the friction
it's just an escape (it's overrated anyways)

the hardest part is yet to come
when you will cross the country alone.

"blacking out the friction" by Death Cab for Cutie

...dunno I was up early today and just chillin out and listening to music while watching the rain come down out my window and this song came on and totally seemed to "fit."

Seems like most of my friends up north are already very bored and trying to cope with the sudden rush of free time... (It seems like the length of the day just got quadrupled!) but I've been kicking it with my family mostly the past few days visting my grandfather and just enjoying the stillness of everything. I went to Santa Monica and LA yesterday with them (a usual holiday trip for my family that I missed last year) and it was a lot of fun... I'm drawing every chance I get and when I cant... I've been watching and listening to these Art podcasts I recently found... some are drawing tutorials some are just art history lectures its just amazing how much you can learn just on a 40 minute car ride!!

My sleep schedule is still super messed up (and my eating schedule as a result!) despite my best efforts... I'm now sleeping twice a day for a few hours each "rest" ....sigh

Trying to make the most of my time here... it's nice to have some free time to watch movies and stuff but I still gotta keep motivated and continue working on my drawing skills... while juggling x-mas stuff on top of it all!
