im burrowing into a cave at the speed of light
i erect small houses of conversation
they are my sanctuary
they are the expression
we lit a fire in the shack
i knew the shack was too small
i knew it was a bad idea
roof thatched with dead palms
but it was so beautiful
'effulgently radiant'
if you will
it kept us warm and it comforted our souls
it provided the spark of life
and although it ultimately destroyed my shack
at that point i had already realized the castle the shack was hidden within.
with my newfound freedom i felt powerful
but as always, the new obstacles rise up to meet my new strength
i realize my strength is in letting go
did i mean to set my shack on fire?
did i inherently desire and consciously seek out the glorious existence of living in a fortress?
just as the shack only kept me appropriately enough shack-led to a small frame of view,
so must the castle be equally destroyed.
but not through force.

the smallest point of light spreads in every direction imaginable even in a darkness as vast as our universe itself.
