I'm in the middle of trying to think of questions for the speakers at this event the ASU is putting on tonight. They're having Japanese Americans who were interned during World War 2 come in and speak to the students, and I'm racking my brains for everything I know about the internment, but I think I'll just have to go with the flow of whatever they say and take my questions from their speeches. For a while I thought that since I don't know what my angle is yet, I'd just ask questions about what I want to know (especially since I was trying to write a novel about it a while back)... but the only thing I could think of that I was really curious about was how did people manage to have sex in one-room barracks with paper-thin walls, and I don't think I have the gall to go up to a senior citizen and ask them something like that. Haha.
It occurs to me that the grandparents of one of my friends from elementary school here in SF were interned during WWII and also happen to live practically across the street from SFSU. It'd be weird if they were there.
I guess I'll just have to go with the flow. Wish me luck :)
