still an emotionally charged towel....

so...

yeah....

anyway, i woke up yesterday to find my freezer had transformed itself into that arctic scene from frankenstein, not the branagh film, but the really cool mini-series directed by david wickes and starring the impeccable patrick bergin ~ i love this film version the best because it's all about light and dark and redemption and randy quaid as the creature! but i digress....

so, i decided to let it defrost while i was away at work, which turned from a single four hour shift into a ten hour split shift. coming home exhausted, i had completely forgotten all about nevada smith's arctic adventure (if you don't know what i am talking about here... *sigh* look here) going inside my fridge; an hour goes by and i decide to take a shower, but first thought was to put the kettle on for some post-rinse tea.....*splash!* stepping into the kitchen area i discovered about an inch and a half of very, very, very cold water. now you would think i would have noticed, being that i live in a one room studio, but the lights were off in the kitchen area and remember, ten hours retail at the mall....

standing there...dumbfounded....and cold...i thought, 'this is kind of like my favorite movie...' then, given recent circumstances, i remembered one of my favorite lines from said movie: 'when people cry, they can dry their eyes with tissues. but when an apartment cries, it takes a lot to mop it up.'

wtf, this magic moment
