Manga/anime vs. my live part 2. -2002-2006
First part - 1992-2002
Okay, since it's a lot of work and i have time right now, becuse i'm tired after my dentist XD.
Well, 2002 was really important becuse thanks to anime/manga mags ;). There was idea about weekly anime fan meetings in random Polish cities. I knew about hour and plece but couldn't go becuse i was really young and it was 17 km! But one saturday i tried and was part of Nowy Sącz manga-meets. Well, i think in 2007/8 it all finished but when i meet my best friends on Satuday were asking "Have we manga-meet tomorrow?" , even if it's not true anymore. In 2002 on 'manga-meets" i meet my 2 best friends - Puciate and Arasz. Now, after 8 years i met in Johnnys fandom ariange which i also saw on few manga-meets. World is really small, seriously.
Anyway, i shouldn't write about pepole here, just about next anime/manga series i read after i meet other manga/anime freaks XD
Well, after i showed "Gravitation" and "Yami no Matsuei" to others and after some articles about yaoi, boys love series started to be popular. Since i had materials from my friends i could read and watch many BL series but seriously, most of them were BAD. Maybe i'm writing that becuse for me it wasn't important is it BL or no, what i wanted was just good story and you know- most of shonen ai series has it but yaoi stuff it's almost only "action". But what i remember really good, there were two BL mangas i really liked. First one - "Zetsuai" - you can tell it's classic but it's not bad. I mean, we have two boys, we have some plot and most important we have a lot of psychological value. Second one is "Color" and what i can tell now. It was really cute and had nice drawings, if you want tor ead something BL and short, it's perfect. And from shojo... i think i would pick Yuu Watase. i've read Fushigi Yuugi but it was too long to be good. I think her best work was "Imadoki" 0 Kireta-kun was really grat cheracter. And it's nice shojo, it has only 5 volumes BTW~~~.
Anyway, let's back to "Zetsuai" for a moment. I loved it not only becuse it was better than normal BL, it's becuse it has great OST too. :) I love almost all of the songs, but you should at least check famous "Zetsuai" :).. but somehow i didn't liked anime at all .
And i didn't watched BL animes. i went other way. I watched a lot of anime and read a lot of manga but now i'm trying to pick my favourite ones. Of course "Cowboy Bebop" - Yoko Kanno and her music just owns. I don't remember it really good so let's leave it. Somehow "Trigun" reminds me about "Cowboy Bebop" too and it was also my fav. series. Vash the Stampede, yeah XD. Next one is really sweet "Omishi Magical Theatre: Risky Safety" - from cute and sweet animes this one is the best for me. it's about God of Death (Risky) and Angel (Safety) who somehow came to girl named Moe.You can watch first episode on youtube here . aaah, and from sweet anime series i liked "Ojamajo DoReMi" very much. Next one is Gainax"FLCL" - i was really into crazy sersies like "Excel Saga", "Poni Puni Poemi" etc. i couldn't help it but i really enjoyed it XD! and if we speaking about studios then i should write about Ghibli. I liked everything they did, but my fav was not "Totoro", "Nausica" or whatever. It was cute and simple story - "Mimi wo sumaseba" - it's one of my favourite movies 8D!!! yay for "Country Road" in Japanese XD!
And last one i picked - my favourite mecha-anime "Argento Soma" - somehow it was for me better than "Evangelion" - i loved main character, he was really... well, cold freak. and it was really weird. If you're anime fan and still didn't watched it - check it. It has beautiful opening :).
and somehow i managed it , i can start high school part right now. Well, i was more into Japanese fashon/music/ Final Fantasy and RPGs then but it's for another time so i'm focusing on manga now. But it wasn't my main-only-one hobby i think. XD this part will be shorter than previous becuse the truth is i read a lot shojo manga and a lot of shojo manga. And watched random anime.
Ai Yazawa of course. LOL. But i liked shorter series better so my fav. was "Paradise Kiss". Short and sweet, nice drawings, a lot of nice clothing designs. Another one will be "Mars" - yes, there's a drama version with Vic Zhou but i liked manga more. And Soryo-sensei has really orginal style. Oh, BTW,"Peach Gril" manga has drama version too. It was my first drama, i watched 15 minutes of it and had enough. I stop watching dramas for 3 years then XD. Anyway "Peach Girl" may look stupid, and it's stupid shojo but... i couldn't belive when i finished it. Main female character picke this... this second one, this cooler one, you know this one who should be second even if he's more awersome. It was surprise for me, so it turned really good.Next one, cute shojo manga called "Aishiteruze Baby". For me it's better version of Japanese drama "My Girl". I mean, there's more love in the plot and main character is high school student so it's i think it's harder for him than for Masamune. But he isn't papa, true XD. Wish i could see drama verison someday. And i want Watanabe Shu in it lol XD. Chobbits- i didn't liked teh faces so much but i loved clothing - that's why i have artbook from the series "Your eyes only". And of course "Wolfs Rain. Beautiful beautiful music here. My favourite is this one :3
okay, what i was thinking, i don't know, but i can't manage it in 2 entries. I need one more for manga and anime XD. *fail*
