I can't talk about a blanket, but there is at least a net curtain of white covering south-east Northumberland.

A blanket here, too, in mid-Beds; a thin one when I first woke at 4.40, with a heavy flurry 8-ish.

Twas a good two inches in South Staffs at 4am and much has remained through the day; sadly it is now icy crunchy rather than snow proper.
