Well kids, it's been a little while since I updated. I've been pretty busy with rehearsals and gigs. I've had a lot of ceremonies to play at lately, which kinda sucks. I hate playing bass drum on that shit, it's so boring. I've had a few 4 Star (rock band) gigs, all dances, and they were probably some of the worst gigs ever. This last one was a party for some ship. The way they had it set up was rediculous. They had a DJ downstairs in the ballroom with a nice big dance floor. And then us on the 2nd floor playing by the dessert table. We were crammed in to maybe a 15 foot wide by 10 foot deep area....in the middle of a damn hallway. So we had hardly any space to move. Everybody was downstairs with the DJ dancing their asses off, and this gig should've been a jazz combo gig for us instead of dragging all our shit in there to play for the guy running sound. We got a recording of most of it, and it sounds pretty good. If anybody wants it let me know. There's a lot of funny shit in it because we figured we might as well play for ourselves since it was our 2nd to last gig together as 4 Star Edition. The last one should be hella cool. I think it's at the Norfolk Hilton, which'll be really nice. And that'll be my last gig as the bass player for 4 Star. We were told today what bands we'd be in next year, and I'm going to be in the Showband. There's already been talk about us going to South America. So for about 6 weeks I could be haze grey and underway. But at least I won't have to do any of the other shit the people have to do. I'm not sure where exactly we'll go, but I've heard Ecuador and maybe Brazil. I've gotta go learn some of these tunes, so I'll catch everybody later.
