ugh
so, I'm kinda feeling alienated as a minority. I just think people are too safe like, afraid of stepping on other people's toes. Doesn't mean you can be racist or homophobic, but too mee, it just seems people are even afraid to talk about race around a black person, or like, i.e., if you're white you can't say something about a black person even if its like not offensive because it's not "tactful, or it's offensive. It just really annoys me that people treat me like i'm racist or ignorant just because i'm from the south and white. It's a whole different kind of ism. It's no better than racism, it's just as bad. It's this geographical discrimination in NoVa that just really offends me. But it's like because i'm not afraid to say the word black around a black person cause i don't act like it's some sort of taboo, and i'm from the south, i'm automatically backwards and ignorant and everyone looks down their nose at me and i hate it, there i've said it i'm done.
