(no subject)
okay,
well as you know, for the past two weeks i have been on a trip to chicago, wisconsin, and michigan...which would normally be okay with me because my family lives up there, and it is beautiful up there...so anyway (green means bad or funny or both)
MONDAY
i get there really late, so i go right to sleep
TUESDAY
my cousin ashley and i went to the beach with all of her friends...which when she suggested us going to the beach i had no problem with, because, you know me, i love meeting new people..and i love the beach...so it sounded fun.
so we get there, and we were with 4 of her friends, who were all very nice, and they were all about 20-21, so they are all able to drink or at least get the drinks (thats the first BAD thing)...so we go lay out on the beach(its freezing...lol...its in chicago..go figure) so im laying there, and all of a sudden one of them pulls out a bottle of bacardi...and i was like...okay whatever, as long as they dont get drunk i dont care...so they are all drinking, and they offer to me and i said no...of course...and then they finally put it away...and a few minutes later another one of them pulls out a pipe...ugh...i should have KNOWN that this was coming...and then they all start smoking pot...now, i wasnt really up for getting arrested that day...so i grab my purse and my phone and walk away...and i called gabe (because i was already texting him)...so i called him in a pannic...and was like WHAT DO I DO! THEY ARE ALL GETTING HIGH!! AND I HAVE TO RIDE IN A CAR WITH THEM! AND I MIGHT GET ARRESTED!!! AHHH!!! and he finally calmed me down...so i went back, and they had stopped smoking, and were ready to go...so we then go to one of the guys house...and i really didnt want to, but i had no way to get home because i was riding in ashley's car...so we go to this kids house, and it was fine, no one did any more drugs or anything...but this guy DID have 3 6 week old shitzu PUPPIES!!! that were SOOOOO cute!!! and i got to hold all of them and play with them for a long time! and that made me super happy!
WEDNESDAY
on this day, ashley left for mexico (she was going with a bunch of her friends...i think it was her 'senior trip' or something) so i was at her house with my aunt, uncle, and my brother, and my grandma...now, they live on the most BEAUTIFUL farm in mchenry illinois...and they have 4 horses and its wonderful...! so i just hung out at the farm all day
THURSDAY
i got to ride horses all day!!! which i havent done in so long!! it was awesome!!!
FRIDAY
we left for wisconsin, and drove all day
SATURDAY
we spent the day on my grandma's boat on her lake, and i got sun poisoning somehow...i guess from being in the sun too much...it REALLY sucked...it was SO itchy!!!! UGH!!! but, the lake was BEAUTIFUL!!! if i can ill post pictures later of it...its breaktaking how gorgeous this lake is!
SUNDAY
we went to my grandma's church...which had about 5 members...lol...this made me realize just HOW far out in the middle of nowhere we were!
then later that night we had a bonfire, which is a tradtion, and thats when i got 6 thousand mosquito bites...fun right...yes
MONDAY
my mom and grandma and i drove up to Orr, Michigan to this bear sanctuary where you get to see a ton of bears...so we get there and its beautiful, of course, and there are billions of deer flies...and i got 5 thousand fly bites...which hurt SO bad...its horrible...
but i did get to see a baby bear!!!! and it was SOOOOO cute!!! i got to see a bunch of other bears as well, but the baby was the best!!
TUESDAY
we spent the night in Orr, and then drove home that day
WEDNESDAY
i go fishing with my dad, my uncle, and my brother, and i caught a few fish...nothing huge or anything...but the trip was quite amusing, watching the boys fish was enough to entertain me all day. they almost caught the biggest musky ever...it was like, from what i could see when it jumped out of the water...about 50 inches long...which is huge!
then later that day i just layed out on the pier and tried to get a tan without getting sun poisoning again
THURSDAY
i went kayaking with my mom in the morning, and say a bunch of baby loons and baby ducks and baby deer, and i got the best arm workout ive gotten in a long while!
the rest of the day was spent tubing in the lake, and haning out on the boat
FRIDAY
today my mother and my grandma and i decided to go check out some of the nature trails near my grandmas house, so we drenched ourselves in bug spray and went to a few small trails...but my mom decided that she wanted to go on a hike, so we went on this amazing hike up a small mountain, it was the most beautiful thing ever! and at the top was the most breathtaking view i have ever seen!! it was over looking the rest of the mountains, over all the trees, it was beautiful
so when we get done with that hike, we go on one more before we go home, and we go to this one that has a waterfall at the end, so we were all really excited. so we get to the end, and i go to scratch my leg, and i feel something on my leg...and i REALLY dont like bugs...so i had a major issue with a bug being on me, so i call my mom over to help me, because i can NOT get this thing off of me, so she lifts up my pant leg, and guess what... i was covered in TICKS!!!!! AHHH!!! so i FREAK out and make her get them off of me, and then while she is getting them off, my grandma feels something on her head...and she has them on her head!! and then my mom finds some on her arms!! so we pannic and RUN out of the forest as fast as we can...and remember, we are on the side of a mountain...so we are RUNNING down the side of a mountain.
so we finally get to the end of the trail, and we all litterally strip down in the middle of the STREET, and search eachother for ticks...and got all of them off. thank goodness that no one drove by, because they would have seen 3 women in their underware in the middle of the road!
so then we go home...and all bathe and stay inside the rest of the day
SATURDAY
we just relaxed at home today, and went fishing
SUNDAY
church, then, there was a little festival thing going on in presque isle (which is where we were), and we all decided to go to it, and i wanted to dress cute because i hadent all week, so my mom, my grandma, my brother and i all go into town...and i didnt realize how hillbilly these people were until then...they were all in overalls and had truckers hats on and smelled like fishing bait..and that is NOT an exaggeration...and they all acted as if they had never seen a girl before...so they were all hitting on my mom and i...it was rather yucky...
then my mom made us go on a few more hikes...and this time i wore like 8 layers of clothes to keep the ticks off of me. =)
MONDAY
we drove to milwaukee (thats where we were flying out of), which took forever, and then we got to the airport, and our flight was delayed an hour, and the air conditioning was broken...so we sat in the airport for like 4 hours with no air...it was rather yucky. then we FINALLY get home.
so, that was my trip.
im so glad to be home! <3
