So naturally, the big questions you have are: where have I been? What am I up to?
And there's nothing much to say. I picked up another private tutoring student, but this one's through HACC, so I'll be making more money. I might get to start tutoring a small group of students (also through HACC). So I now have 2 part-time jobs and 2 students. I'm actually getting more requests to tutor people, but I've got to find some more consistent set-up than what I have. *shrug* I'm giving myself some time to think about it.
Next week I have a couple of days off. This is the best news ever, as I haven't had a day off in some ridiculous amount of time and the last day off I had was completely unrelaxing, as Chris and I had a billion errands to run. We hadn't gone grocery shopping since before I went to Michigan. There was a ton of laundry to do but we needed more detergent. You know, stuff like that. I've worked myself sick and all I do is sleep. I'm hopefully going to see the doctor tomorrow since I have health insurance again, starting today. (Why I haven't had health insurance for the last couple of weeks is a long, dull, stupid story, but I haven't.)
Hmmm...what can I say that would make this entry interesting? How about a Patrick anecdote? You all love Patrick, right? Well, the other day I was tutoring Chip here at the apartment because I didn't have a way to get to the library to meet him. This is the first time Chip's seen the apartment, so I introduced him to Patrick. Thankfully, Chip wasn't afraid of lizards or allergic or anything like that. In fact, the two of them got along about as well as Patrick gets along with anyone: Patrick hissed and Chip laughed at him. For a while, Chip was even holding Patrick until Patrick did a flying leap from Chip's hand, hit the side of the tank as he fell, and landed flat on his little Patrick back. Now, most of you haven't seen Patrick decide he's going to jump from very high places (like Coniah's head), but Patrick just...pauses for a moment, then starts running around like an idiot. Since, however, he landed in his tank, he didn't have far to run and mostly went in circles.
I laughed really hard, but you probably had to be there. ;-)
