RIP Nancy Orazem

She was just so wonderful. I had her for study hall all last year, and I swewar to God, I didn't do ANY homework in there- Because I was always chatting with her, trying (And failing) to learn bits of French or German, and just talking about life in general. We usually ate lunch together with Ms. Gault, and it was just great. She always had something nice to say to people, even if she didn't know them very well. We both had an obsession with scarves, and she and I would always have "Fashion Shows" in the halls on the way to lunch- We'd just pretend to be British and drawl, "Daaahling, I simply LOVE your ensemble. That scarf!" and whatnot- She just had a bizarre, kooky sense of humor. It was great.

She was also one of the main people that convinced me to go into the Arts. I'd always sit there with her and Ms. Gault, at the table, and we'd talk about the future. I was always scared of the instability of the music world, even as a music teacher. I mean, Murphy and Wightman and all of them have been there for me, but she was one of the ones that said, "You owe it to your talent and passion to pursue whatever it is you want- And as long as you love it, you'll succeed."

What an incredible woman.

So my thought is, if she's being buried Monday, will there be school? I mean, you CANNOT expect everybody NOT to go to the service....And are they going to get SUBS for all the teachers that want to go? I mean, ALL the teachers will go, ALL the kids want to go, so do you think we'll have school?

In other news, the concert BLEW ASS. I am so sick, I have a motherfucker of a cough, and I still managed my Regina Coeli solo. Michael is also SO SICK- I think I have given him my flu. I just hope he doesn't get the huge fever....101 the other day was where I was at....He was like COLD and turning colors, I am usually the PALE PALE COLD one, he's lovely and dark and a HUMAN RADIATOR. For once I think his hands were colder than mine. I really hope he's okay. He had such a shiver too....BAH I am always worrying about people. But just 'cause I love you all.

I am pretty much done with the satire project, thanks to Miss Casey Jayne. She did a lot with me, and well she was typing too, since I duck at that....Between us we got like 4 solid pages of the screenplay and then I finished it, edited it, reformatted it, and it's up to 13 pages....Not even fully double-spaced yet. WHOOOHOOOO. So yeah, since that's like more than half of my third quarter grade, I'm crossing my fingers.

Work tomorrow and possible some rehearsal. The kids are SO not ready, it's SAD. But we'll pull it off, I HOPE.

I love you all so much. Leave some goddamn comments.

And if a certain shivery Mac user is reading this (You know who you are) I love you. Feel better. And for God's sake, get and LJ account so I can really know when you're reading this!
