so... a post.
+ there are a lot of cool/awesome things about Mexico! But it's times like these, when police commanders are getting beheaded, that I'm really glad we live in a boring ass small city 5 - 5 1/2 hours from even just the border. I'm glad my Tita doesn't go into the country much, as far as I know.
+ A federal judge issued a worldwide injunction Tuesday immediately stopping enforcement of the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy, suspending the 17-year-old ban on openly gay U.S. troops (here)
I'm not going to get excited until it's made sure that this won't get bitchslapped down and all the GLB soldiers get told "PSYCH - hahah, pretty good though, huh? 8D"
+ My brother got this infection on his toe when he was.. god, like 16 or 17, and he never went to the doctor for it when it started getting bad. He's 22 now, and they have to perform surgery to cut out part of his bone, because the infection spread deep enough down to get to it. My mom says it's not funny at this point, but I kind of think it is, just a bit. I really hope he doesn't get in trouble with work though - he won't be able to walk around on it much (if at all) for 5 days, and he can't wear the close-toed shoes they require for another week and a half or thereabouts. We'd be in some deep shit if he lost his job and I hadn't found one yet.
