Patrick Wolf - Get Lost Get Lost
We could go to the cinema
Big effects and big named stars
And we can go to that private view
But darling these days my favorite view is you
Lets just bend the invitations
And leave our bikes down at the station
Lose our sense of direction
only time to lose
Come on and run
Come get lost with me
Slip away discreetly
You're my love
So come away with me
Til we run on empty
Now we could stay here till closing time
But the drinks are flat and the price is a crime
We could dance till our feet turn red
But the beats so boring
And I'd rather be home in our bed!
This towns skipping like a record
Reruns get me so bored
So with enough that I can afford
Only time to lose
Come on and run
Come get lost with me
Slip away discreetly
You're my love
Come away with me
Till we run on empty
Lets go now
Lets go
You're my love come get lost with me
You're my love come till empty
Lets go
I love this song!
It makes me think of Damon and Gemma, which makes me sad as well as happy. Which I hope means I did it right, if I were to ever actually write their story out. I know November is right around the corner, but there's no way I could churn out 40,000 words. And I just know I wouldn't be happy with any of it either. I dunno. I might see about taking a writing class or something. I kind of want to go "NOOOOO. CLASSES ARE WHAT HELPED KILL OUR CREATIVITY!" (fuck you, texas.) but, on the other hand, it says "JIM BUTCHER DID IT, AND HE WROTE DRESDEN!".
Which I am almost caught up on. Just have to finish Turn Coat and then finish Proven Guilty, if I want to. I already know what happens, I just haven't read it myself, but I might have to. Gotta have something to hold me over until 04/06/10 when Changes comes out. You guys, I want this book like burning. Just when I think "what else could Butcher possibly spring on Harry, after the vamps, the fae, the skinwalkers, and everything else?" and then WHAM. He hits us with this. I dig it. And I will either be pre-ordering this book months in advance, or calling bookstores in Killeen to see if they'll have it in stock on that day. If not, I might have to fork out the extra money for overnight shipping. Yeah, I want it badly enough that I'll pay an extra book worth's in shipping. Kind of sad, kind of awesome. I haven't enjoyed a series this much in.. well, ever.
... well.
this wasn't much of a blog, was it?
how is everyone? I'll have to try to make better entries later. I think part of the problem is that I'm just not very involved in fandom lately. I MISS BEING FANDOM-Y WITH YOU PEOPLE. but now I must flee. for I have 6 minutes before I have to leave for work and wander around until I find an open desk that'll probably have a shitty keyboard and a shitty headset. >:|
