I watched Ichi the Killer today. what a fucked up movie. where Dead or Alive was like "oh my god that's disgusting" and Audition was a slow build to one of the most intense climaxes i've ever seen in a movie, Ichi was just hardcore, in-your-face gore. some parts had me squeaming a bit. I think the more fucked up aspects of the movie weren't really the gory parts, moreso just the ideas presented. I think it made some sort of statement about sado-masochism and bullying but I'm not going to watch it again anytime soon to figure out what that message was. it's good fun to talk about these movies because i can't honestly recommend them to anyone, ever. I also could never show them to other people. I'm about 95% sure that if me and the guys watched Ichi or Dead or Alive, none of them would ever talk to me again. and for good reason.

the new sonic youth is pretty good. so is the new twelve tribes.

i bought the new demon hunter cd. it's kind of hard to tell whether or not they're still a joke band. the lyrics are stupid which would argue that they are but the inclusion of guest vocalists kind of takes away from the joke. it isn't bad though. kind of like most modern pop rock/metal but with one foot still in the TFU mindset.

also i did really well on the SATs. this is the last i will say on the matter. i'm tired of being told how good i did and all that. it's not that i'm humble or modest. it's just fucking annoying.
