yeah, so you know what you shouldn't do the day after christmas? use the word "myth" anywhere near "christianity." That went over like a ton of bricks, and I didn't even call anything about christianity a myth! I asked if something was like calling christianity a myth.
And stony silence ensued. And then I was given the definition of a myth:
Mom: "Myths aren't true."
Me: crickets
Sister: there are historical, recorded events in the Bible
Me: more crickets as I realize there is no way out of this one.
Mom: continuing to explain that since Christianity's the truth, it's clearly not a myth.
at which point I was seriously wishing I could time-travel and erase the conversation entirely. oy, vey.
