Yeah, it's pretty distinct. I wonder if it's the same from child to child. Phones are Zane's most common thwart. With remote controls, there's more subtle thwarts we can do, such as setting the remote to control something that's turned off an inactive. Zane's mostly convinced that remotes don't do anything when he holds them.
I've been trying to do the same with phones by unplugging the phones and then giving them to Zane, but he's still obsessed with them.
His absolute, number one focus is cameras. I haven't been able to take a picture of him for months that wasn't of Zane walking forward with his arms out like an extra from a George Romero film, but he doesn't see cameras much. Every time the phone rings, it's time for another phone thwarting.
Take the batteries out! But then you have to remember to put them back in. Still, it beats having your toddler accidentally call 911 (yes he did!) or make the volume on the tv go up to 25 rather suddenly.
