Just a brief note on SGA, but I think they ought to sign Kate Hewlett for at least two episodes every season. Hee!

The Dorklings were their typically amusing selves this weekend.

Nieceling #1 : *poke poke pokity poke*
Nieceling #2 : *retaliatory poke *
Nieceling #1 : Hey! Mama says not to do that. You should stop it.
Nieceling #2 : ...?

* * *

Nieceling #3 : *mucks with lunch*
Bro-in-law : I'm going to swipe your green beans if you don't eat them!
Nieceling #3 : *mucks with lunch more*
Bro-in-law : *swipes bean*
Nieceling #3 : *ponders* Okay. You can have that one.

* * *

The Boy : We're going to the Arctic to catch some imaginary polar bears now.
Aunt G : Do we have to? I think it's cold there.
The Boy : Put your coat on. Here's some imaginary earmuffs.
Aunt G : *puts on imaginary earmuffs*
The Boy : We're going to use this imaginary dead seal as bait. You just throw it out there... Are you listening? *sigh* Don't put the earmuffs on yet! *removes Aunt G's imaginary earmuffs for her*
Aunt G : Oh, now my ears will get cold.
The Boy : *sigh* Here. These are imaginary headphones. They'll keep your ears warm and you can hear me.
Aunt G : la di da...
The Boy : Can you hear me now? *sigh* Turn the VOLUME UP!

And this went on through the rest of our arctic trek (Do we get snow shoes? NO! Just wear your imaginary boots), our Amazon adventure (I don't think we need to get an anaconda. Sure, we do. Here's your special imaginary Snake Armor!), and our undersea voyage (You go chase the sharks; I'll try to catch a sponge. Aunt G, sponges don't move!), and a trip through the Himalayas (You know yeti aren't real, right? Yes, they are - here's a picture. That's a drawing. It's in a BOOK! They aren't real. Are too...)

I'm thirty-four years old. You wouldn't think this would be quite so entertaining, but The Boy is hilarious when aggravated. I love seeing what he'll come up with to combat my every complaint and protest. And it must amuse him too, because he still insists that we play Zoo Hunters every Saturday. Hee!

Ooh, and also, Serenity got checked out yesterday! I'm pretty sure this girl's mother isn't the type to by bothered by this book. So now we'll see next week if she liked it enough to check out volume 2. If so, I'll order the rest of the series. If not, at least it'll have been checked out once. Which is more than I can say for some of the other perfectly good books I've ordered for the sheep.

sga, dorklings
