Just a warning about FY: Miaka is stupid. She is stupid, she is a bubble-brain, and she is annoying. But she's goodhearted, and she has a host of pretty men who love and adore and worship her. Including Tamahome, who was the inspiration for tattoo #1. And Tasuki, who was cosplay costume #1.

Duly noted. :) It's not as if I read this stuff for its brilliance most of the time anyway. I blame it on the fact that I read far too many classics as a child and not nearly enough comic books, so I'm making up for it all now. *g* Besides, I'm a sucker for sappy romances.

Really nice FY review. You'll love the detail and the mythology. And the artwork is gorgeous. And yes, there is total pay-off in the end. I cried more than once throughout this story.
