Much as Sherlock Holmes was supremely disinterested in remembering whether or not the Earth revolves about the sun as it was utterly irrelevant to his life and work, I have resolved to ignore the International Astronomical Union which today declared that we are living in an eight-planet solar system. I assume that Science as a whole will continue to function regardless of my personally held beliefs on the subject of Pluto. Perhaps somewhat in the same manner that I assume Roger Daltrey continues to lead a perfectly normal life regardless of my subconscious's persistent views on the subject of Gallifrey.
Watched the repeat of Bones's season finale last night. Still much love. I had forgotten just how amazingly quickly Booth IDs Brennan's mother. I knew it was quickly, but I hadn't remembered it being quite that fast. It's literally like two seconds between the time Angela shows him the image and when you hear him start punching numbers on his cell phone. I adore that. And it's all back next week! I still can't believe how excited I am about this show. Though I am a little leery about the new boss. But mostly - still excited.
