(no subject)
Hokay. So, several things for to be posting about.
One. I has a job! It rocks everyone's socks off. Hard. I work at the zoo! Weeeeee! I'm a "roving naturalist". This means I run aaaaaall over the zoo with all sorts of things from preserved spiders and insects to live arthropods and reptiles. And talk about them. Also I work in the butterfly garden and Stingray bay. Stingray bay is a big pool where people can touch and sometimes feed cownose and southern stingrays. I feeds them all the time! It's great. I also occasionally work at the Dragonfly marsh, which is a man made marsh in the zoo that has pretty much been let grow out. Everything is wild, and we work in the area talking about the critters that live there and biodiversity. But! I can also jump the fences in the marsh and run around catching bugs and reptiles to show to people, as long as I don't hurt them and they go right back in the marsh. Super awesome fun time!
So there's that. My job is so awesome that it hurts. Well, not really. But it's pretty freakin' awesome.
Two. I still has no internets in the apartment, so I probably won't be online much until next week-ish. Ah well, I'm sure I'll survive somehow. *dramatic sigh, hand on the forehead* Anyway.
Three. I suppose I can't hang on to my official "I is not really a furry, fo serious!" stance anymore. I just got back yesterday from AC. I had an awesome fun time. Why does this mean I can't really say I'm more of a sci-fi dork than a furry? Because I was staff. Yeah. I'll also be working on staff for MFF. So I can't really claim non-involvement anymore. Oh well.
Either way, AC was aaaaawesome. I really like working staff. It's nice to have stuff to do other than hang out with people, and I've met a lot of people by being staff. Also I just like helping. I got to run around everywhere! Yaaaaay! We got to Pittsburgh on Wednesday after driving through the night and pretty much crashed. Things went light speed from there. I won't bore anyone with details on what I did everyday, suffice it to say I had a great time. I met some new awesome people and had an excuse to wear more silly costumes. Speaking of, if anyone sees any pictures of me in any of my more unusual outfits, would you mind sending them my way? Please and thank you!
That's pretty much been the past few weeks. I'm still moving stuff in and unpacking (bleah!) but that's going really well and I should be all moved in soonish. All in all, things is good. Now I go for I has cheezburger that needs eating. Yays!
