Another Scorcher In Hell....
So much for making an entry 3 times a week or so.
Well, we went on a mission here recently and it was the most I have seen in quite a while. We went into Bahagdadi to repair the water main the was blown up by insurgents a week ago. We went in expecting worse but received far less. We encountered 9 IED's , 3 lands mines, and took 4 alleged insurgents. Our CWO was hit by an IED but lived with lacerations to both arms and legs and to the face. One of our platoons was apart of Operation Matadore and they were fine. So far Lima hasnt taken any casualties, but I cant say the same for the rest of the Battalion.
Jake is going to Africa and should be in LeJeune in a months time. Sara Gets her braces off in September. I get my Good Conduct in a month from yesterday marking my year mark untill I EAS ( THANK GOD ).
Ashley doesnt start school for another year due to a mandatory class she missed. TJ is buying the Cavi and Im getting a Colorado Sport. Jake and I are going to build a show Truck, either a Truck or SUV still undecided.
I wont be home for a while still, hoping by the end September Ill be in Tampa. Later...
