You really shouldn't hurt yourself like that. I understand that it might be an addiction, but it's not worth it, and doesn't solve anything. All it does is make you weaker, and gives you an alternate and destructive route to send your problems, instead of sucking it up and learning to deal with it head-on. You can't avoid your problems like that.
So, for your own sake, either get help, or help yourself.

i am not weak for self injuring i am dealing with my problems head on already and i am getting help, and have been getting help for the past 3 years

well i do believe this is my diary...its behind an lj cut and i did write "very triggering pics" as the title. and as i said before, this is MY diary and i can post whatever i want in it. if you don't like it (which i do believe is what you've written as a disclaimer on your very own diary), then leave
First of all self-harm is an addiction, people talk freely about addictions, like there are adverts on the television with people dying of lung cancer, I'd say that's far worse than posting a few pictures on a *personal journal*.. if people don't like it.. fine don't look at it! Don't visit this journal again? Problem?
I think alot of people just want to cause conflict!
Secondly, why ask about why the pictures are there, do you scream at the tv why put that man on there dying of lung cancer?... I doubt that you do. Just because self harm is socially unacceptable, don't get caught up in that. If you're intelligent enough you'll learn to create your own opinion based on the truth.. not on media/similar crap.

ok firstly I DO SELF HARM! So NO my information is not based on "media/similar crap", it is based on my personal experiences, I have battled with it since I was 13...so I do know...all I wanted to know was why the need was felt to post them online!!! Thats what makes people believe self harm is attention seeking! And NO, you said triggering content, how the fuck were the rest of us to know it was self harm!!

i dont know whether you were looking for a fight or if youre just highly oppinionated, but please just remember that on live journal you're reading SOMEONE ELSES DIARY. when you read my lj posts, you're jumping into my world, and you cant and don't have the right to change me or what i write, or how i write it. i dont have to take into account anyone elses feelings but MINE when i write in here, and it was out of courtesy that i even posted those pictures behind a triggering lj cut
ok...i am highly opinionated lol, and when I feel strongly about something I will speak out...i do not want you to think I was trying to change the way you do things, at the end of the day it is YOUR diary, all i wanted to know was WHY you did it, i personally cant see how it could possibly help. next time you do it, please just make sure you write WHY it is triggering, some things can be triggering to some that arent to others and vice versa.
It's no different than posting a picture of a broken arm, or someone with the flu.. they're all ill in some way.
But I'm not saying she posted the pics for attention.. maybe that's just an outcome of posting her journal.. as she says.. this is her world.. and part of her world is self injury.
