that bloody nagging feeling

Jun 07, 2006 01:19

wow...one thing i forgot about ottawa is that nearly everyone has someone. single is the minority in the city (and i am serious...i believe the survey said 80% are coupled). with all that, and the fact that one the line cooks (original 4 thank god...not the new guy) spent two hours lamenting on how he and his ex were still having sex for 2 yrs after their break up....and all the girls were doing the poor baby routine....if only they knew what horrors others have seen....

but anyways, got me thinking about those i was with here...one in particular.....you know the feeling, when you have that one memory of the best time in your life (to date of course) and start talking again years later to find out they are exactly what you want...but are taken, and still feel something for you too....see that big hand winding up? yeah, that's gonna slap you silly for letting things happen as they did....sad thing is, she knows how i feel and kinda wants it too....ah well...solace in the fact she's happier right?

man, kitchen work ain't too bad so long as the people i work with are good. we have no real leader, as we all have our stations. myself and shawn are non smokers, therefore we know how to make the most dishes as the smokers take off and orders still come in...francis has travelled much so always has some interesting stories and gives me a chance to remember my french (and learn quebecer...one thing i never did). moe...well...is moe...anything cute in the kitchen is his game...unless he decides to pass her off...i think i've had 3 hand offs....not that it matters much to me as chances are they are all taken, and the few who aren't don't want a job bf. don't blame em.

but everyone should still come to mexi's in the market. the fact i do a ton in the kitchen almost guarantees i'll have had a hand in one meal at your table (don't worry, i'm not gonna slip anything into your food....then i don't get paid).

cheers and chow
