have you ever seen the film, "The Gods Must be Crazy"? If you haven't you should. It's an intelligently biting movie comparing the "paradise" that is tribal community with the relatively insane, nonsensical "modern" lifestyle. What you say about evolution is interesting to. By gaining the ability to affect our environment in a major way, we aren't adapting and evolving as a species to fit our world. Instead, we change our world so that it is better suited to us. In fact what we've done is traded physical evolution, where are physiologies are altered by a changing environment, with cultural evolution, where our culture and society change our physical beings. Just look at mouths, for instance. Back when humans were forced to eat more shrubbery, they needed buff molars to grind down the fibers. With processed foods (think bread and grindstones, not pop tarts), we no longer need those strong molars at the back of the mouth where the jaw muscles do the most work (think nut-crackers) and we have them removed if they come in at all
