It's something, being in a place for long enough to think of it as another home. I know that we've more experience with this than many others - where the matter of believing in multiple worlds is concerned, at least. We're lucky that way, I suppose.
When the three of them left in January I hadn't expected to see them here again. I'm not sure that Susan did either, but then they did come back - older (though Ed and Lu not as old as we once were, technically) and I can't say that it hasn't been strange. I don't think anyone expects to relive the formative years of his life, still remembering the other ones.
I used to think I had to choose, my loyalty to Narnia over my loyalty to Earth, or that it could only be right in one place but I now feel that's not quite it at all. Maybe it's easier to say, knowing that I won't be going back - Susan and I, rather. We won't be always waiting.
Still...
Anyway, for all that this place has its downturns, on the whole I decided a long time ago to view it as a privilege, a gift even. I've met people here that I would not otherwise get to (as with Narnia, as, in its own way though I didn't know it, Earth too) and I've had the chance to meet again with others. To know that Narnia does well under Caspian's hand isn't unexpected, but it's nice to hear for myself.
He seems to have settled quite well into his place.
It's still odd, to think of how much time passed, how the Kings and Queens of Old had become almost pure myth.
I suppose it makes me wonder if one day we really will be. They say all stories end.

Well that was interesting.
A curse for people to punch each other. I can't decide if a kick would have been worse.

Amory, please check in.
[ooc: please note, blue light staff, that this is basically NOT supposed to be a re-scheduling - just a confirmation of what's been in-play but as we've never literally to the specific, hashed out hours and days, I figured giving it a bit more structure would add some more realism years later annnnd just keep everyone on the same page. I know Frankie has other work at another bar and Jill doubles as performer/bartender hence the day split up. Amory is the only actual change re being MIA ICly for a bit, so yes. Any questions feel free to e-mail me transvective@gmail.com ...long OOC note is long ;; sorry uiejoskld]
