RSVPs will be the death of me! I still have 50 people out. Those of you who have told me verbally, or who responded to the Save the Date card, don't sweat; I've got you written in. I have to have the final count *really* soon so I can figure out what we can afford. I want this done so I can ready for school in September.
My grandmother decided to throw the family brunch in our laps. Like I could possibly need one more thing to plan. I was already menu planning for it, so it wasn't like the rest was difficult. I was even going to give her a number for a florist. Now I will be doing the whole lot and the invitations to it. And taking the RSVPs.
I'm dealing with 4 caterers, couriers to bring up food for the people with dietary restrictions, a courier for the cake, the people working on my dress alterations, transportation or carpooling for folks coming up from the airports, a Saturday evening dinner, getting members of the family to pay for their rooms in the inn, getting the inn to send confirmations, putting our florist stuff together, doing photots, presents for our parents, dealing with the uncle who is our officiant (stoooopid idea--never have family do such things. Bad idea. Badbadbad.), and wedding favors. I could give two shits about the last bit, but my father is wedded to the idea of embossed cocktail napkins--what, like people are going to save the fricking napkins as souvenirs?! Oh, and we have to have the yarmulkes printed, benchers done, progrqams, and an explanation sheet of all the ceremony and whoo haa stuff going. And the rings. We have to order the rings.
I love that Noam and I are marrying, but this high-maintenance party is getting to be reeeeediculous.
